What is personal training?
Personal training involves working with a certified fitness professional, who designs personalized exercise programs to help you achieve your fitness goals, whether that's weight loss, building strength, improving flexibility, or training for a specific event.
What should I bring with me for my PT session?
Wear comfortable workout clothing and supportive footwear, make sure to bring a water bottle, a towel and a padlock if you wish to safely stow your belongings. Coat hooks and open storage is available at most clubs, however belonging are left at your own risk. hints and tips here
Can I use the gym before / after my PT session?
If you are joining me for personal training as a non-member of South Down Leisure, you can purchase a day pass for each session, which will give you access the facility. This will allow you access to a full range of facilities for a whole day.
Where do sessions take place?
Sessions predominantly take place at Lancing Manor Leisure Centre. You will find the club here: Manor Road, Lancing, BN15 0PH.
Sessions are available across the South Downs Leisure facilities upon request.
Is parking available?
Lots of free parking is available at Lancing Manor Leisure Centre.
How can I book today?

Will I have to do the same workout every session??
No, personal training is dynamic! I will vary your workouts to target different muscle groups, prevent you from getting bored, and help you progress towards your goals. This keeps your training fresh and challenging.
What happens if I miss a personal training session?
It’s best to notify me as soon as possible if you need to reschedule. Sessions booked in blocks have flexible scheduling allowing you to train when its most convenient for you. Sessions can be booked once, twice or three times a week until they are used up, perfect if you have a holiday booked.
Is personal training available online or in-person?
All sessions take place in person, at your specified club. I look forward to getting to know more about your health and fitness goals.
Can personal training help with weight loss?
Yes, I can help you with weight loss by creating a program that combines strength training, cardio, and healthy eating. I can also help you track your progress, stay motivated, and make adjustments as we work together.
How do I track my progress during personal training?
I will help you track progress through regular fitness assessments, measurements, strength benchmarks, and feedback on how you feel during and after workouts.
Do personal trainers help with nutrition?
I may ask you to provide a food diary, a breakdown of all the food and drinks you have consumed over the course of one week, please be as honest as possible, I’m not here to judge, only to help and guide you. I will then be able to advise you on any changes that would be beneficial to your ongoing training.
Can I train with a personal trainer if I have injuries or health conditions?
Absolutely, I can design you sessions that are tailored to your specific needs, including modifications for any injuries or health conditions. We will discuss any adjustments needed at your initial consultation.
What facilities and equipment does the gym have ?
The club offers a wide range of facilities and equipment, including free weights, cardio machines, strength training machines, functional training zones, and group fitness studios. Some locations also have saunas, pools, and locker rooms with showers.
